Chapel Allerton Short Film Festival

The Chapel Allerton Short Film Festival operates on a not for profit basis under the umbrella of the Chapel Allerton Arts Festival. Our remit is to represent local film-making talent from all age groups, disciplines and sections of the community with a particular emphasis on North Leeds productions.

Last year’s sold out event was a great success with some very strong submissions. This year's programme promises to be just as strong and includes local community heroes, beautiful stop-frame animation, a pop promo and a period drama (and one features a star from the latest comedy hit 'Rev'). Many of the film-makers will attend on the night to introduce their films and take questions in the bar afterwards.

Complementing the official film selection will be a live mix of streaming internet videos in the bar, courtesy of audio/visual collagiste, and Re# events promoter, ineaux. His eclectic mix of global rhythms and popular culture is a feast for the eyes and ears, and a taste of the future of entertainment, at least that’s what he keeps telling anyone who will listen.
